Virtual Event: GoTo

The Convenzis NHS Data and Information Virtual Conference series continues to provide NHS IT Managers and data specialists with the latest national policy updates and best practices from across the UK. With over 1,800 attendees having visited our conferences, we have seen a significant increase in participation, reflecting the growing importance of data in the healthcare industry.

As the health and care system faces ongoing challenges in response to the pandemic and the recovery of health services, the role of data and information remains crucial. It plays a central part in NHS service improvement plans, including the development of Integrated Care Services (ICS) across the UK.

With the emergence of population health management as a strategy to improve health outcomes, promote well-being, and reduce health inequalities, the power of data becomes even more evident. Data underpins this approach, enabling organizations to embark on their population health management journey.

NHS England and Improvement have recognized the potential of Population Health Management, stating that it allows local health and care partnerships to utilize data in designing proactive care models and achieving improvements in health and well-being through optimal resource utilization.

At the NHS Data and Information Virtual Conference, we aim to provide a platform for the NHS Data and Information community to engage in practical discussions and gain insights from reputable and thought-provoking content from the UK's healthcare industry.

Convenzis events have a proven track record of driving strategic-level change and transformation within the healthcare industry. By bringing together senior healthcare leaders and decision-makers from the NHS and wider healthcare sector, our events foster collaboration and seek innovative approaches to address the industry's most pressing challenges.

Questions for data leaders – what can the NHS learn from the management of city data? (Confirmed)

Chris Fleming

Just like in every big organization, how to get the most out of data is a key question for NHS leaders. We have been working with cities through the Bloomberg Philanthropies City Data Alliance program for the past year and we believe there are key takeaways from that experience which can apply to the NHS context.

Through this programme we helped  3 cities mature and scale their data practices. We coached them in the process of building a beacon data service, a data service standard and toolkit, and supported them in their journey to create a data community of practice. In this presentation we will explain how each of these outputs helped the cities evolve their strategic use of data and how some of these lessons can help NHS leaders shape key questions about their own data practices.

Presentation: Linking health and social care data to improve services (Confirmed)

Diane Clark
Senior Business Analyst
NHS Arden & GEM CSU
Adam McCamley
Senior Analyst
Liverpool City Council

Linking the data we hold about patients and clients in their health and social care records can help to improve the quality and experience of care for individuals, while also improving service planning for populations. But joining up health and care data must be done securely and in close collaboration with both data providers and the communities they serve.

These principles underpinned a national programme of work undertaken by NHS Arden & GEM CSU and the Department of Health and Social Care to enable local authorities to submit standardised adult social care data into a secure environment to be linked with health data.

In this session we will cover some of the challenges this programme presented, how they were overcome and how organisations are being supported to submit and access data on an ongoing basis, providing a bridge between health and social care

We will also hear from Liverpool City Council on the practical impact of the programme and how the data is being used for operational oversight, national monitoring, commissioning and research.

Managing Patient Data – Are You in Control or is it Managing You?

Rob Watton
Pre-Sales Technical Account Manager, UK Public Sector
Veritas

The one constant is patient data is growing, it's not getting any less. Keeping on top of this data becomes ever more challenging when it’s located in many different repositories from on-premises, to the cloud and everything in the middle. Doctors and clinicians need to know they are looking at, and working with, all the right data for a patient, and IT need to ensure that data is in the right place and can be accessed by only the right people.

In this session, Rob will share how you can take back control of your patient data through data intelligence and governance, ensuring it is in the right place at the right time, and above all is secure.

The Impact of the High Risk Adult Cohort (Confirmed)

Mr Len Richards
Chief Executive
Mid Yorkshire Teaching Trust

Using joined up data to understand how the system works and to identify a cohort of the population which we have named “High Risk Adults” who are high intensity users of the service and who have some easily identifiable “triggers” so that our Clinical Leaders can design and implement Community based services which reduce the number of admissions and therefore Hospital Bed Occupancy.

In the talk I will identify the cohort of patients, identify the triggers, as well as the services that have been put in place across the Wakefield and District population and crucially I will be able to demonstrate the impact that our work has had.

Convenzis Healthcare Event testimonials

What our clients say about us

It was great to join the Convenzis team again for the patient flow event. As always, the team were incredibly accommodating and happy to help. The quality of attendees is always of a high standard and relevant to the patient flow and to us also. We continue to have great discussions and footfall around our stand with no need to try and encourage people to come and see us. Really positive event for us and we look forward to working with Convenzis in the future.

Catalyst BI -

My colleague and I presented at the NHS workforce conference 2023, 19 September. The support and guidance we received from the Convenzis team in the run up to our presentation slot was great, well timed and perfectly pitched. The event itself, again was expertly organised. The conference was well Chaired by Sean, who was very engaging. As an audience member as well as a panel member, I would definitely work with the Convenzis team again.

NHS BSA -

Covenzis delivered an excellent meeting like always - a hubbub of activity focused on future developments within NHS pathology laboratories

Working with Convenzis is a stress-free and a rewarding experience, with fantastic engagement from a highly targeted and relevant audience

I worked with Convenzis, primarily Dan, for the first time this year, putting together a bespoke online event for IBM. He has always been so responsive and accommodating. The team always remained professional and helpful – despite the many demands from our side! They were very keen for us to maximise on the investment and revisit those attendees who had not committed to follow ups.
It was an absolute pleasure doing business with Convenzis and I know there will be more opportunities next year. Looking forward to it!
