Our journey, our successes and learning along the way... In the opening keynote session, Minerva Learning Trust will share their lessons learnt through the growth process. They will discuss the key challenges and opportunities involved and provide practical insights on how to navigate them. Key pillars of this will include information on building a strong team, managing finances and resources, and ensuring a high-quality provision across all schools.

The session will discuss the growth and development of strong trusts, sharing examples of good practice and providing ideas to take away and develop further in your own school or trust. From our experiences working solely within the education sector, providing advice and guidance on conversions and mergers, governance, HR, and finance, our EPM colleagues will provide a detailed look at what makes a strong trust bring you their experiences and advice from working with over 400 schools and trusts nationwide.

Abbie and Carly will be discussing the current pressures on mental health and wellbeing in the education sector and how this is reflected in the absence, recruitment, and retention rates in schools. They will be offering examples of scenarios from schools and academies that Schools Advisory Service have supported and will be able to highlight why putting an action plan in place to create a wellbeing culture in your school is instrumental in the running of it.
