Course Overview
Specifically designed for radiology, imaging and nuclear medicine professionals, this course supports current and future leaders across medical, technical, clinical, non-clinical and managerial roles.
The course will equip leaders at all levels with the skills, confidence and strategic awareness needed to lead services through current pressures and future transformation. It is suitable for experienced leaders, newly appointed managers and aspiring future leaders across all imaging modalities.

Course Format and Requirements
The course combines taught content, reflective learning, group discussion and practical leadership exercises. Attendees will be expected to participate fully, reflect on their learning and apply the course content to their own leadership context.

Day 1 Preparation: Strategic Context and Leadership Foundations
Participants should prepare:
- A brief overview of their service priorities and challenges.
- Reflections on how national transformation goals affect their local service.
- A personal leadership reflection or diagnostic tool.
- Five key leadership development priorities relevant to their role.
- Examples of local health inequality challenges.
- Relevant data on their organisation, service or population.
- Reflections on how leadership can help address these inequalities.
Day 2 Preparation: Leadership Attributes and Practical Skills
Participants should prepare:
- A real-life example of a difficult decision, choice or problem they have faced.
- Reflections on how they approached it and what they may do differently now.
- Examples of collaboration challenges from their own experience.
- Examples of difficult feedback situations or challenging conversations.
