The trade association AXREM is pleased to announce that Philips has been awarded the trophy for the highest number of steps recorded by a single member company during our 2025 Million Steps Challenge. Philips employees collectively logged an impressive 472,010 steps over the course of the challenge.
The award was presented by AXREM Chief Executive Officer, Sally Edgington, in a visit to Philips premises, where she met with our Vice Chair, Jeevan, and many of the Philips staff who took part in the event.
AXREM launched the Million Steps Challenge earlier this year as a charity and wellbeing initiative in partnership with Action for Children. The challenge invited members from across the medical imaging and radiotherapy supply sector to walk collectively, with the goal of reaching one million steps in a single day to raise funds and awareness for vulnerable children across the UK.
The 2025 Challenge exceeded expectations, with participants from many member companies walking over two million steps in total, raising several thousand pounds for Action for Children.
Sally Edgington commented: “We are delighted to recognise Philips for their outstanding commitment and effort. This result shows what can be achieved when our industry comes together around a shared purpose, promoting health and wellbeing, building camaraderie, and supporting a cause with real impact.”

Not only did we help raise vital funds for Action for Children, but we also saw the positive impact on our own wellbeing, encouraging colleagues to step away from their desks, enjoy some fresh air, and connect with each other in new ways.
