NHS Warrington Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) is one of the 211 NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups in England.

Led by the 26 GP practices of Warrington who are in charge of NHS decision making locally, NHS Warrington CCG commission and are responsible for NHS services used by its residents.

With a £279m budget, NHS Warrington CCG work to get the best health outcomes they can – Excellence for Warrington – for the 212,000 people who live in the town.

NHS Warrington CCG commissions providers such as Warrington and Halton Hospitals, North West Boroughs Healthcare and Bridgewater Community Healthcare as well as specialist services further afield like women’s and children’s.

NHS Warrington CCG pays for these services on behalf of Warrington residents and monitor providers to make sure they are delivering the right care at the right price. We study their figures, look at patient feedback and carry out checks.

Everything NHS Warrington CCG does has the people we serve at its centre and the CCG actively seek out views and experiences of the people of Warrington to shape its work.

A number of primary care services such as opticiansdentists, and pharmacies are commissioned by NHS England.
