Hello! Here at Rambutan, we’re behavioural experts in understanding ‘Why people do what they do’. This knowledge informs our work – from coaching, leadership development and behavioural change, to culture, employee engagement and our own unique 360° leadership tool Rambutan Evolve; all delivered face-to-face or online.
We’re a refreshing bunch who love to create engaging work experiences where people, teams and whole organisations can fulfil their potential and achieve tangible results.
Our risk-free guarantee
We have a unique risk-free guarantee which means we guarantee the quality of our work by not billing for anything whatsoever you’re not 100% happy with. Our guarantee is linked to achieving business objectives which are mutually agreed before any work starts. Put simply, this means if we don’t achieve your objectives, then you don’t pay; you can’t say fairer than that!
Why people do what they do
Our behavioural drivers model: ‘Why people do what they do’ has been decades in the making and is based on our study of the behaviours of thousands of leaders, in hundreds of organisations, over many years… not forgetting the numerous management theories and models we’ve researched and read! We focus on an objective, rigorous and qualified approach to predict behaviour and its effect on outcomes. There are two main groups of factors that affect people’s behaviour in our model: personal factors and cultural factors.
Civility Saves Lives
We’re honoured to be supporting various NHS Foundation Trusts in bringing to life their Civility Saves Lives programme and helping to reduce the estimated £2.3bn annual cost to the NHS (Kline and Lewis, 2018). This cost relates to staff absences, high staff turnover, decrease in productivity, etc. The Civility Saves Lives programme is part of a wider cultural change programme which aims to identify and reduce unprofessional/unproductive behaviour across the NHS. Our programme provides skills and tips to help all staff, to improve their interactions, foster positive working relationships and drive patient outcomes.
Incivility may seem minor, but it can snowball into something bigger. It’s not always yelling or name-calling and can be something much subtler. Interrupting in meetings, dismissive comments, eye-rolling, tutting, or simply not saying ‘thank you’ are all forms of incivility, and when repeated, they can create a toxic undercurrent.
