It was great to join the Convenzis team again for the patient flow event. As always, the team were incredibly accommodating and happy to help. The quality of attendees is always of a high standard and relevant to the patient flow and to us also. We continue to have great discussions and footfall around our stand with no need to try and encourage people to come and see us. Andrew is a technical consultant with a broad experience in most areas of ICT having worked in design and operational roles. Andrew has worked in a range of settings from large IT corporations through to local government and small service providers. Andrew is the managing director of AMDH Services Limited, an ICT consultancy specialising in ICT Networking and Cloud Service delivery.
For the past four years, Andrew has been working with a large County Council to define their Cloud strategy, it’s a business case and cost model, and then the design and implementation of that strategy. He has seen the impact of digital transformation and cloud – its effect on data centre strategy, on storage & server replacement, on backup and how it’s delivered, on network connectivity to remote sites and to the internet. He has also been influential on how an ICT organisation structures itself to respond to an ever-changing ICT landscape using so-called “evergreen” products.
Prior to this Andrew worked for KCOM Group, technically managing the UK’s largest public-sector network – EMPSN. The EMPSN network is a MPLS based WAN with well over a thousand edge sites and multiple data centres. Andrew has also been responsible for Cloud presales for a data centre provider, core switch replacements, firewall replacements, WAN replacement, and beta testing of new Cisco equipment. Most recently Andrew has been responsible for Office 365 design & implementation, Azure design and implementation, and migration of applications to the cloud.
Andrew will be bringing the lessons learned from cloud strategy, design and migrations over the past four years to his presentation, to assist those attending to more effectively plan the work they need to complete.
