Dr Sunil Nedungayil

I am GP, a Musculoskeletal specialist, GP appraiser and GP Educator in the North-West of England. Over the last twenty years I have worked across Primary, Community and Secondary care on the frontline as well as in leadership roles.

As Clinical Director I oversee the integrated working of the Musculoskeletal, Pain and Rheumatology services at East Lancashire Hospital NHS Trust.

I have recently joint the NHSE- North-west Outpatient Recovery and Transformation Programme Team as a GP Clinical Advisor.

As a member of the National Osteoporosis and Fragility fracture workstream (Best MSK Health collaborative) for NHS England and Improvement, I am working with systems across the country to improve and sustain delivery of evidence-based, informed, personalised, high quality, bone health care of value to all.

I have served as a Medical Director at the Northern Health Science Alliance (The NHSA), leading on the healthy Ageing Programme.

I have served as the GP Practice Clinical Lead, PCN Clinical Director, CCG lead for Bone Health and the Co-chair of the Ribblesdale Education Forum and helped shaping the local health and well-being policies.
