Ian Kirkpatrick is a Chair in Management at the York University Management School. Previously he held posts at Warwick Business School and Leeds University Business School. At Warwick, Ian co-ordinated the Monash Warwick Alliance work-stream focusing on healthcare improvement. At Leeds, he served as Chair of the ESRC White Rose Doctoral Training Centre Academic Quality Committee and Director of the Leeds Social Science Institute. In this capacity, he helped to establish the ESRC funded Consumer Data Research Centre and was a founder member of the Leeds Institute for Data Analytics. Ian has published this work in leading journals including, most recently, Public Administration, Journal of Management Studies, Organisation Studies and Public Administration Review. He served as Chair of Framework 7 European COST Action, focusing on the relationship between medicine and management, and sub-editor of the British Sociological Association journal, Work, Employment and Society. He has held visiting positions at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra (in Barcelona) and Monash University.
