It was great to join the Convenzis team again for the patient flow event. As always, the team were incredibly accommodating and happy to help. The quality of attendees is always of a high standard and relevant to the patient flow and to us also. Dave has over 30 years of industry experience focusing on innovation and transformation. He has worked with organisations from Start-ups to Armed Forces. With practical experience of complex and uncertain situations in both commercial, public sector and conflict zones, Dave is comfortable with challenging engagements.
Proven at the strategic level and as a strategist and innovator, he is also comfortable at the operational level and getting the job done. He is a firm believer that strong leadership, passion and focus can overcome culture and organisation inhibitors – even in the most difficult of circumstances.
He’s experienced in agile practices, Design Thinking, and product development and is considered an expert in complex systems and systems engineering. David believes that the best innovations come from those individuals with the problem, not from experts with a opinion.
Prior to joining the Royal Free, David owned his business, was Executive Director of CISQ international standards body, researcher director and senior advisor with Gartner, and head of Global Architecture DHL & Deutsche Post. He also advised with the USMC, DoD, UK Home and Foreign Office, and deployed operationally. David was also part of the rapid response team put together by the EU at the height of the 1980s HIV epidemic to accelerate innovation related to blood purification solutions.
