Prof Mohammed Al-Uzri He/Him

Professor Al-Uzri is a consultant psychiatrist with special interest in severe mental illness, practicing clinically with the Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust in the UK. He held several leadership roles in the trust and nationally, currently he is Mental Health Lead for the NHS Integrated Care Board at Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland.

Professor Al-Uzri holds the title of Honorary Chair in Psychiatry at the University of Leicester where he contributes to research and teaching in mental health.

He was awarded the RCPsych Presidential Medal in 2020 for his long-standing work to improve standards of mental health care in the UK and overseas. And in 2023, received the Royal College of Psychiatrists highest honour, The Honorary Fellowship of the college, for his services to psychiatry.
