Ruth Germaine

Ruth is an experienced nurse leader in workforce development, primary care and transformational change.

A dedicated, compassionate, inclusive nurse Ruth strives to develop herself and others to create positive people-centred cultures.

This drive led to Ruth taking on a role as Primary Care Workforce Development Lead. Working in teams with individuals, General Practices, Training Hubs, education providers and people across the health and social care system Ruth networked to achieve transformational changes to the primary care landscape.

Realising transformation requires cultures for learning, developing and improving Ruth took the opportunity to use her secondment as a #DarziFellow19 to focus upon Place-Based Learning with the East Kent Training Hub co-creating an implementation and impact framework defining its purpose, enablers, values and outcomes.

The framework underpinned the development of educational leads within Primary Care Networks and Ruth was invited to contribute her findings to an international practice development book.

Ruth is currently leading the system-wide development of multi-professional Advanced Clinical Practice with a focus on the needs of the people in our communities and what matters to them.
