Savi Ramkissoon

I am experienced registered nurse of 28years and completed my nurses training in Guildford, Surrey. Post registration I moved to London to complete a BSc in Healthcare. Upon completion of my degree I started working at St Marys Hospital NHS Trust, now part of Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, in various surgical specialities to gain surgical experience. I later moved to the Adult intensive care unit for acute experience where I found my niche and have been specialising in adult intensive care nursing for the last 22years. In 2008 I was asked to be the project nurse lead for adults to implement the Philips ICCA clinical information system. This entailed system development and configuration, staff training, implementation, learning all things ICT as it relates to a CIS, and later management of the system. The ICCA CIS system has been expanded over the years and is in use on five adult and paediatric ICUs across three sites at Imperial.
