Exploring Regional NHS Imaging Networks: Collaborations, Opportunities and Challenges Virtual Conference
NHS England and Improvement recently set out initial plans to develop and implement collaborative imaging networks on a national basis across England, the aim being, to improve the quality of patient care and provide imagine professionals with improved career progression opportunities.
By utilising the data from the NHS England and NHS Improvement national imaging data collections the NHS can begin to provide services based on geographical patient flows and provide services in these areas including cancer, stroke, major trauma, acute cardiology and maternity services, this also provides an opportunity for skill mix, procurement for capital equipment and outsourcing and shared capacity and demand between imaging networks.
Our upcoming event will provide the NHS Imaging community with a timely platform to listen, learn and share insights based on these new national imaging strategies.
Some of the core plan benefits and conference subjects:
- Delivery of regional teleradiology networks
- Improving sustainability and service resilience
- Sharing and levelling of resources for both staff and equipment
- Maintaining high-quality learning and training environments
- Providing a cohesive approach to quality improvement across imaging networks
- Ensuring equal access for all patients, irrespective of geography
