Unifying Healthcare, Empowering Patients
Paul Boland, EBO's Healthcare Director, will discuss EBO’s new approach to patient engagement by introducing EBO’s Intelligent Patient Portal (IPP). Bringing AI and Conversational dialogue to the forefront, this second generation portal helps ICBs, healthcare organisations and NHS trusts to deliver an integrated digital front door at regional level.
In this talk you'll find out how the portal serves as a gateway to unified healthcare through a single user interface. Engineered with interoperability at its core, it seamlessly integrates with an organisation’s existing Electronic Patient Record (EPR), shared care records and other ICB existing portals. Not only does this facilitate set up, it allows healthcare organisations to speak to patients in context of their data/history and provide accurate answers – just like speaking with a human!

Improving efficiency at a system level provides its own set of challenges, reiterating the importance of keeping the patient at the heart of planning and decision-making.
In this session Sophie will share work undertaken by the Health Economics Unit in 5 ICS, looking at pathways, identifying what is most efficient, what is driving value as well as ultimately how this information can be used to improve decision making and tackle health inequalities.
Sophie will share some of the outputs of this project and will discuss how a socio-technical approach to the allocation of resources (STAR) method could help ICBs determine where they can better allocate resources across pathways.
