Pindrop Hearing: Raising the Standard of Hearing Aid Care in Private Practice

Pindrop Hearing is an independent audiology clinic with locations in Harley Street, Chelsea and Winchmore Hill. We specialise in delivering hearing aid services that adhere to the highest standards of audiological best practice, providing patients with outcomes far beyond those typically achieved in retail settings.

Why refer to Pindrop Hearing?

Unlike high-street chains or makeshift setups in pharmacies and opticians, we are a clinically led practice run by graduate-level audiologists. Our clinics are fully soundproofed and equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic tools, ensuring assessments are conducted in an optimal environment for accuracy and consistency.

We follow evidence-based best practices in every hearing aid fitting. This includes:

Real Ear Measurements (REM) – to precisely verify that each hearing aid performs as prescribed for the patient’s ear canal acoustics.

Speech-in-Noise Testing (aided and unaided) – a gold-standard validation method, often overlooked even in Harley Street clinics, but central to our protocol.

Bespoke Rehabilitation Plans – with follow-up support and adjustments, rather than a one-size-fits-all approach.

Crucially, we are independent, meaning we are not tied to any one manufacturer. This allows us to recommend the most suitable technology from across the market, based solely on the patient’s clinical needs.

These practices are clinically proven to result in significantly better patient outcomes—greater satisfaction, improved speech understanding, and reduced risk of hearing aid abandonment.

“I was hearing only 48% of what was being broadcast. Pindrop refitted the hearing aids using the new audiogram and then using the REM software, adjusted the proprietary fitting program. We re-did the hearing-in-noise test and it went up to 86%.”
