Abdul Razaq is DPH at Suffolk County Council since August 2017 and former Director of Public Health at Trafford Council and Executive Director at Trafford Primary Care Trust. Abdul has over two decades of Public Health experience with extensive experience at senior Executive level. Abdul was also the chair of the North West Directors of Public Health Network and the North West Executive lead of the Association of Directors of Public Health.

At a national level, Abdul sits on the Public Health England Global Health Committee and was Chair of Food Active, a North West collaborative on tackling key determinants of unhealthy food leading to NCDs (non communicable disease). He is interested in developing the new dimension of commercial determinants of health from global policy to local action.

Abdul is supporting efforts for the eradication of polio in Pakistan by working with PHE on developing Public Health capacity. His other areas of experience include extensive work in Health Promotion and Health Protection, tackling health inequalities, addressing the social determinants of health and wellbeing and the joint commissioning of services and clinical audit posts.

Abdul is a Trustee of two charities that are developing capacity to build health and care systems overseas and improving life chances for women and orphans across the world.

I worked with Convenzis, primarily Dan, for the first time this year, putting together a bespoke online event for IBM. He has always been so responsive and accommodating. The team always remained professional and helpful – despite the many demands from our side! They were very keen for us to maximise on the investment and revisit those attendees who had not committed to follow ups.
