Allie Lamb

After qualifying as a Diagnostic Radiographer in 2001 I worked in a large teaching hospital following a general rotation which included CT before specialising in Fluoroscopy primarily GI and non-vascular intervention.

Gaining my PgCert at Leeds before completing my MSc at Sheffield Hallam.

In 2015 I made the move to Barnsley Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as the GI Advanced Practitioner before moving into management becoming the Plain film Lead, Service Manager, Deputy Professional Lead and I am currently covering the Professional Lead Radiographer role.

 As the Service Manager for imaging, I was involved in our bid for a CDC which we opened in a retail setting in the Town centre offering a range of diagnostic tests.

Improving productivity and making the best use of our CDC has been a big part of my role and we use capacity and demand tools to enable us to maximise services to Barnsley patients and offer mutual aid within the region.
