Amanda Fisher


Amanda joined the NHS in 1982 and as a Registered Nurse gained experience at many levels working in a variety of settings in England and abroad. With particular interest in workforce transformation and education, in 2004 Amanda’s career took a more strategic direction leading the education commissioning and management of HEI contracts across Yorkshire and the Humber, developing sustainable partnerships and delivering key workforce priorities at regional and local level.

Amanda led the workforce response to the Call to Action for Health Visiting (2011) meeting the target for Yorkshire and Humber, and chaired the national group to develop the HEE District Nursing and Practice Nursing Education Framework (2015).

Amanda established and now leads the Consortium and Faculty of Advanced practice, as part of a system wide approach to workforce transformation across the Integrated Care System in HCV.
