Amy Holden is an Associate in the Clinical Law team at Capsticks. Amy has over 10 years of advocacy experience having previously been a criminal and regulatory lawyer. She is a member of the Law Society’s Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme (CLAS) as a Magistrates’ Court Criminal Duty Solicitor and was also a Police Station Accredited Representative.
Amy now undertakes a broad range of inquests representing mental health providers, acute trusts and CCG’s. Amy is experienced in representing clients at complex Article 2 jury inquests in respect of deaths that occur in secure environments.
Amy takes pride in delivering results and providing a quality service for clients who are interested persons in an Inquest by identifying and collating key witness evidence, supporting clients with the preparation of witness statements and scrutinising internal investigations and associated reports and action plans.
Amy has created a quarterly coronial training package for a client and also runs multiple events for acute and mental health trusts in relation to Inquests. This training includes delegate participation in a mock inquest and also focused training on statement drafting.
