Amy Wright

I am Matron for the Virtual Clinical Care Team at Northamptonshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Our team provides remote monitoring for people living with long-term conditions in the community, and for residents across 11 care homes in Northamptonshire. I have been nursing for more than 15 years, 12 of them in the NHS. I worked as a Deputy Sister at Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust and spent three years in practice development in the independent sector. I then joined Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust as Ward Sister in Elderly Rehabilitation and went on to become Matron in Integrated Elderly Care at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. I joined Northamptonshire Healthcare in 2024. Caring for older people has run through most of my career, and it shapes how I lead today. I am passionate about giving care home teams the confidence and the tools to spot deterioration early and act on it. That way residents get the right care in the place they call home, and only go to hospital when they truly need to.
