Anna McCall

I am a Senior Respiratory Physiotherapist with 23 years’ experience; the majority of this has been spent in the Midlands with Sandwell & West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust working within the Community Respiratory Service, with a few years working within acute in-patient care at the University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, the Medway NHS Foundation Trust (Kent) and The Priory Hospital, Edgbaston. Over the years working at SWBH, I extended my clinical skills to become Spirometry accredited and a non-medical prescriber, plus also designing & implementing our first local Home Oxygen Assessment & Review Service (HOSAR) and Community Diagnostic Spirometry Service following successful bids.  During the pandemic I was heavily involved in implementing the Covid “Monitoring You At Home” (MYAH) service, to increase patient flow from the front door, which became the platform for taking on the more recent Clinical Lead role in 2022, for four of our Virtual Wards – Respiratory, Cardiology, Frailty and EPCIENTRE (Emergency Point of Care Testing & Treatment Without Transfer to Hospital).
