As a provider of healthcare in over 40 prisons across the country, Practice Plus Group recognise the fact that prisoners are a socially excluded group with complex healthcare needs that can often be associated with poor outcomes. Practice Plus Group take a holistic approach to healthcare, making health and wellbeing of the patient priority.

Bethan is Practice Plus Group Dietitian for Offender Health in Oxfordshire. Along with growing and delivering the dietetic service she has linked with prison governors, catering managers and Hertfordshire University to explore nutritional provision in the establishments. These pieces of work have been used to direct local health promotion and allow the men to make more informed menu choices.
