With more than 35 years of service within the NHS, I have progressed from working as a radiographer to leading imaging teams in both tertiary and secondary care . Throughout my career, I have developed a broad spectrum of skills, ranging from hands-on clinical expertise to strategic planning and service transformation.
A significant portion of my career was spent as a Cardiothoracic radiographer, providing specialised clinical care . Later, as Head of Imaging at Royal Papworth Hospital, I played a pivotal role in designing, delivering, and overseeing the redeployment to a new hospital facility. For the past six years, I have served as Imaging Lead at Kettering General Hospital, guiding the team through ongoing developments and improvements.
I am deeply committed to workforce planning, striving to help teams achieve their full potential, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Setting clear direction, leading with empathy, and ensuring that every team member’s voice is heard are key aspects of my leadership approach.
