Devon De Silva works for Via, a charity dedicated to supporting those affected by addiction. Devon has worked within the addiction field for over 9 years and has been the Manager of Via’s Innovation and Research Unit (IRU) for the past 7 years.
Devon is passionate about bridging the gap between academia and real-world practice. She strives to build strong relationships with researcher partners to demonstrate the impact of the work Via does, to enhance the quality of our support offer and to contribute to the wider evidence base within the sector.
Devon’s expertise spans qualitative research methods, data analysis, project management and business development- including successful research grant applications.
Devon’s areas of interest include the evaluation of Via pilot programmes, the development and implementation of innovative solutions and the management of large-scale change management projects.
Devon’s current research focuses include evaluating the use and people’s experiences of Long-Acting Injectable Buprenorphine (LAIB), the Capital Card, Via’s Extended Brief Intervention and boxing programmes.
