Dr Ajith Kumar Parlikad

Dr Ajith Kumar Parlikad is Reader in Asset Management at Cambridge University Engineering Department (CUED). He is based at the Institute for Manufacturing, where he is the head of the Asset Management Group. He leads a research team focused on examining how data and digital technologies can be exploited to improve asset investment and maintenance decision-making. Dr Parlikad sits on the steering committee of the IFAC Working Group on Advanced Maintenance Engineering, Services and Technology and was a member of the Digital Twin Working Group of the UK Digital Framework Task Group. Dr Parlikad’s current research focusses on the development of digital twins of complex asset systems bringing together data from disparate sources to support asset management.
