Dr Angela Burns

Dr Angela Burns is a Principal Clinical Scientist in Clinical Biochemistry and LabMed Scotland Meetings Secretary, with extensive experience across NHS laboratory medicine, point-of-care testing and service improvement. Her clinical and research interests include cardiac biomarkers, thyroid function testing, assay verification and validation. Angela has contributed to a range of research, audit and clinical service-development projects, with a strong focus on evidence-based practice, realistic medicine, health inequalities and collaborative working across laboratory, clinical and multidisciplinary teams.
