Dr Asheesh Sharma

Dr Ash Sharma has been a Consultant Nephrologist at University Hospitals of Liverpool Group since 2011. He was previously the Co-Clinical Lead for Nephrology, leading on reconfiguration of renal services across Cheshire and Merseyside, and has recently been appointed Medical Director. Ash provides overarching clinical leadership for the RCP’s work to implement guidance and good practice principles for modern outpatient care, in close collaboration with key partners and stakeholders. With previous experience as GIRFT Clinical Ambassador for Cheshire and Merseyside, and currently Clinical Lead for the NW Kidney Network, he brings a keen interest in clinical leadership, service design, and outpatient transformation. Ash has extensive experience in delivering outpatient transformation locally and is passionate about integrating patient care pathways across primary, secondary and tertiary care.
