Dr. Baxi Sinha is a Consultant Psychiatrist with Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust. Based in an adult community mental health team, he also leads the Trust’s pioneering Ketamine Service for Treatment-Resistant Depression—one of the few specialist centres of its kind in England.
As Deputy Medical Director (International Recruitment), he has helped strengthen the Trust’s medical workforce. His previous leadership experience spans medical education—serving as Associate Director of Medical Education, Senior FP&GP Tutor, and CESR Tutor—as well as clinical management as a former Clinical Director.
Nationally, he contributes to the work of organisations like the Royal College of Psychiatrists. His professional interests include research—having served as Principal Investigator on clinical studies, published academic articles, authored book chapters in psychiatry, and conducted peer reviews for journals.
He is also passionate about medical IT, particularly the evolving role of artificial intelligence in healthcare.
