Dr Charlie Andrews

Charlie is a GP with an extended role in gastroenterology (GPwER) based near Bath.  He works both as a GP partner at Somer Valley Medical Group in Midsomer Norton and has a role working in gastroenterology as an endoscopist in his local area.  Alongside his clinical roles, he works for NHS England developing and leading the GPwER in gastroenterology training programme which has been running for the last 2 years in the southwest of England and is now being offered more widely beyond the region, supported by a framework recently endorsed by both the primary and secondary care national gastroenterology societies (the PCSG and the BSG).  He is a committee member of the PCSG (Primary Care society of Gastroenterology) and is the host of the primary care focussed educational podcast 'Ingest'.
