Dr Charlotte Illingworth

Dr Charlotte Illingworth is Foundation Lead for Psychiatry in Bristol South and Central and a Consultant Psychiatrist who works in prisons. Dr Illingworth has specialist registration in General Adult and Old Age Psychiatry, a Liaison Psychiatry endorsement and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Charlotte’s dedication to and enthusiasm for teaching and training were catalysts to her establishing junior posts in the prisons for Core and Advanced Trainees in Psychiatry and, most recently, an innovative Foundation doctor post, a national ‘first’ for this most challenging of environments.
