Clinical Teaching Fellow and Emergency Medicine Fellow
Royal United Hospital
Dr Elizabeth Sharkey is a Clinical Teaching Fellow at RUH Bath. There she spends half her time working in the Emergency Department, and half teaching University of Bristol medical students in the Bath Clinical Academy. She took on this role in August 2019, after completing her final Foundation Year 2 (FY2) placement working in the Prison Mental Health Teams within AWP NHS Trust. This innovative FY2 post is a national ‘first’. With an interest in Medical Education, Elizabeth was keen to transform the prisons into a learning environment by leading teaching sessions for prison and healthcare staff and contributing to quality improvement.
