Dr Gwyn Grout,

Gwyn is an experienced consultant mental health nurse who has spent most of her clinical career working with older adults across a wide variety of settings including acute hospitals, mental health units, community mental health teams and the care home sector.
Since 2011 Gwyn has practiced as an independent consultant and spends much of her time facilitating the development of both curricula and practitioners towards Advanced and Consultant levels of capability.
Gwyn is the recent proud recipient of the BGS Marjory Warren lifetime achievement award for services to older people. As an active member of the British Geriatric Society, Gwyn has represented the Nurse and Allied Health Professionals Group on the Education Committee.
In her PhD Gwyn explored perceptions of mental health problems in older adults in the acute hospital setting.
