Julia has worked as a Consultant Dermatologist in West Hertfordshire from 1995 to 2008 and has been a Consultant Dermatologist in Lincolnshire since 2008.
Julia has been involved in service redesign for over 20 years and has worked on the development and implementation of a range of national guidance documents. Since 2020, she has been the NHS England Clinical Lead for Outpatient Recovery and Transformation working with key stakeholders to produce and implement guidance for new models of delivering care for people with skin conditions.
With the Centre for Evidence Based Dermatology she published ‘Skin conditions in the UK: a Health Care Needs Assessment’ in 2009.
In 2006 she worked with colleagues to set up a multi-professional Masters programme in Clinical Dermatology at the University of Hertfordshire
Julia was awarded an MBE for services to Dermatology in 2012.
