Dr Mickey Jachuck

Mickey returned to his native North East, as a consultant cardiologist, in 2011 and has been a clinical director at South Tyneside & Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust for the last 8 years. He has specific interests in cardiac rhythm management, workforce development and training, and clinical leadership. He was an enthusiastic early adopter, from a secondary care perspective, in supporting the introduction of South Tyneside community HealthPathways, and continues as a subject matter editor for a for cardiology. He has experience of the positive impact that HealthPathways has had in relation to the, sometimes challenging, primary - secondary care interface, and an understanding of how this can potentially help improve collaboration and efficiencies across the wider healthcare system.
