Dr Roland Valori

Roland was National Clinical Director for Endoscopy in England from 2003 to 2013 and National Clinical Advisor to the English Bowel Cancer Screening Programme from 2006 to 2013. In 2009 he was awarded Change Leader of the Year and runner up Quality Champion in the first NHS leadership awards.

In the last 17 years Roland has led or been a member of a variety of consensus groups/panels developing quality measures for endoscopy services, including the UK Global Rating Scale, and endoscopy service guidelines for Canadian, American and European Endoscopy Associations

Roland has a major interest in the efficiency of endoscopy and believes it is possible to eliminate waiting times within existing resources
