Dr Shanker Vijay

Dr Shanker Vijay is a GP Lead for Digital Transformation at NHS England (London region) and a Digital/IT Lead for NHS West and North London ICB. His leadership experience spans Board-level roles across both commissioning and provider organisations, with a long-standing focus on system-wide improvement.

In London, he contributes to a broad portfolio of programmes including AI and automation (shortlisted for the HSJ Digital Award 2025), NHS App, Pharmacy First, Online registration and Online consultation. His previous transformation work includes Community and Intermediate Care, as well as NHS 111 and Urgent Care redesign.
