Dr Simone Lester

Dr Simone Lester practised as a hospital doctor before moving into leadership roles where she has worked in both NHS and private organisations, providing clinical oversight alongside developing and delivering healthcare improvement strategies.  Her passion is improving patient outcomes through evidence-based initiatives, and she specialises in cross organisational working which optimises knowledge-share, engagement and utilises technology as an enabler. 

With a background in emergency planning, she worked as a Clinical Lead for NHSEI Behavioural Unit during the pandemic to develop a model of engagement that would facilitate vaccine uptake in hard-to-reach communities. She is a founding member of the Sodexo Medical Advisory Committee that continues to provide current information and advice to the global workforce of over 500k employees and their families on how to keep safe and well during the pandemic. As Medical Director she oversaw the safe clinical delivery of COVID-19 Assisted Testing Sites and now works closely with operational teams in exploring new ways of working that will improve consumer experience together with delivering greater service efficiency.

With additional qualifications in Economics and Public Health she understands the many constraints within health and care systems and believes that solutions need to be multifaceted, with all stakeholders pulling in the same direction with a clear vision to improve patient care.
