Emma Wardale

Emma Wardale is the Clinical Lead for the Community Virtual Ward at DHU Healthcare, and an Advanced Practitioner she plays a pivotal role in the development, coordination, and delivery of the Virtual Ward model, ensuring that patients receive safe, effective, and timely care within their own homes. Emma has been central to advancing collaborative working across system partners and strengthening pathways that reduce hospital admissions and improve patient outcomes. Her leadership has contributed to the service being recognised nationally, including its shortlisting for the Nursing Times Awards 2025. Dedicated to compassionate, innovative, and integrated care, Emma is committed to driving forward community-based services that are responsive, high-quality, and sustainable.
