Fiona Longhurst

Fiona is the Chief Knowledge Officer at Royal Voluntary Service, where she has been a leader since 2013. She has played a crucial role in shaping and driving the organisation’s communications and engagement strategy. In 2019, Fiona took on a vital role in ensuring the successful implementation of the NHS and Care Volunteer Responders programme, supporting the NHS’s response to COVID-19. She continues to oversee the Programme which adds volunteer capacity to NHS teams in acute and primary settings in all 42 ICSs. Additionally, Fiona leads on evaluation and Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) initiatives, ensuring these areas are central to the charity’s work and its future development
