Since qualifying as a nurse in 2013, I have enjoyed a varied career to date across the NHS and Private Sector. Delivering direct patient care across wards and critical care services, to setting up and managing a covid ward and being a clinical site manager. Like many, covid gave a new personal and professional perspective on things leading me to become a Darzi Fellow in Clinical Leadership with a particular focus on staff wellbeing. Through my Fellowship, I designed a tool to help staff understand what was impacting them most at work and enabling them to make the change they most wanted.
Since 2023 my work has been focussed on leading clinical networks. I hope I bring my past experience with me to these roles – the patient focus of a nurse, the staff wellbeing focus of a Darzi Fellow and, more latterly, the operational and strategic skills required of a senior manager in the NHS.
Outside of work I raise a cricket mad son, 8, with my wife (also a nurse). I am a keen choral singer and cricket watcher, so am hoping for a wonderful Ashes tour this winter!
