James Roach

James is an experienced NHS director having been a CEO/Chief Officer of 2 CCGs and a joint Director of Health and Social Care ( Council and CCG appointment) and is currently the Director of the West Essex Integrated Care Partnership. During his career, James has spearheaded the development of integrated care pathways and out of hospital clinical models. Under his leadership, the Wiltshire systems were one of the best performings nationally in terms of the Better Care Plan and reducing number of Delayed Transfer of Care and in West Essex, he is playing a key role in the development of a number of integrated care pathways. James has successfully implemented discharge to assess programmes, new models of step-up intermediate care and domiciliary/rehab care pathways.
