Jeremy Bishop

Jeremy Bishop is a former Infantry Officer in the British Army, with an MBA from London Business School and ten years experience in the NHS, working at national, regional, system and provider level. His primary expertise is in quality improvement. This incorporates leadership, human factors and developing processes to improve operational effectiveness and patient safety.

The four components of the course are:

• Leadership- Practical lessons in how to better lead and manage a team
• Management science - Frameworks to guide managers through a range of common challenges
• Behavioural science – Focusing on the psychology behind individuals’ and teams’ behaviour and how this can impact patient safety
• Quality Improvement –The tools to successfully initiate, interpret and measure a change programme

The course is designed to give delegates practical tools that can be used the following day to better manage whatever situations arise, as well as pointers in how to improve one’s leadership style and effectiveness.
