Jess started her career as a prison officer working on the vulnerable prisoner’s unit. She then progressed to the role of supervising officer working on the induction unit. After one year in this role, she then progressed to the role of custodial manager of safer custody. In this role, Jess works to reduce self-harm and violence across the prison.
