Julie Barrett

Julie has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years. Her career has included a wide range of acute, community and independent sector roles. She has a been a midwife and has spent 10 years as an academic providing pre and post-registration health professional education.

Julie has worked at HEE in her role as Workforce and Education Transformation Lead since March 2019. With a clinical background in advanced practice, Julie has been able to lead the setup of the North West Advancing Practice Faculty, supported by a multi professional team in the region. Julie now chairs the NW Strategic Oversight group which is leading the strategic and operational direction of Advancing Practice in the region.
