Karen Russell-Surtees

Karen (Kas) is a former Royal Navy medic turned digital transformation leader, with over 18 years’ experience driving complex, cross-sector programmes in health, care, and local government. As a programme manager for Cambridge and Peterborough ICS, she has led the development of the Shared Care Record, enabling safer, more coordinated, and patient-centred care through digital integration. Her career reflects a blend of adaptability, strategic thinking, and a passion for improving outcomes for citizens.
