A GP since 2004, Kevin has over 20 years of experience in healthcare education and workforce development. With a Masters in Health Professionals Education he has played a leading role in developing innovative training programs such as the Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship at Hull and York Medical School. He played a key role in the development of primary care training hubs in Yorkshire and the Humber and was formerly an Associate Dean at NHSE, helping to develop the Primary Care School’s Faculty of Wider Workforce. He now also works with international partners to develop Global Foundation Programmes in primary care.
His experience provides key understanding of the complex issues that practices and the wider primary care system face when trying to deliver effective training and mentoring alongside safe clinical care.
Outside of work, Kevin enjoys running, cycling, cinema and getting out and about with his wife and three children. He exercises his musical side by singing in a rock and pop covers band.
