Laura leads national data integration architecture, working with local teams to recommend national policies, patterns and standards for data when it moves between care IT systems. Part of her current role is to coordinate the delivery of national infrastructure to meet emerging Local Health and Care Record (LHCR) requirements.
She co-chairs a new national working group on Interoperable Data Design and was previously a member of several national and international interoperability standards groups, including Boards at HL7, HL7 UK and IHE UK.
She has been working in NHS informatics and care data design since 2002 and prior to that led Canadian national health informatics initiatives.
