Louise Gibbs BSc Hons MSc FIBMS

Louise is a collaborative, people-focussed leader, who is driven by empowering people to succeed.

She has over 30 years’ experience in the NHS and education. From placement student to pathology manager via time as a transfusion practitioner, and now a network workforce lead, she has extensive experience across pathology. Louise strives to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels heard, respected and supported to reach their potential. Louise co-wrote the SW Biomedical Science Career Framework and more recently has focussed on support worker development with the implementation of a collaborative CPD Day for support workers across radiography and pathology and a support worker development framework.

Louise has presented at regional and national meetings including the IBMS Congress.

She has recently been elected to a National Council Member role in the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS) and is proud to be able to shape the future of the profession and represent members across the UK.
