Mandy Townsend

Mandy leads a number of projects within the North West Coast to deliver improvements in patient safety through the spread of innovations (both technologies and processes) and provides leadership for the Health Innovation Network's diagnostics programmes. Her role involves a range of healthcare systems from primary to acute, mental health and tertiary services, with a focus on the impact of culture on team and organisational success. Mandy is a biomedical scientist, specialising in biochemistry, who worked in pathology for a number of years before moving into improvement and innovation work.
